I have a Corey cat, it's obviousley a female. She is the only corey in the tank, and she has been laying eggs like crazy. She laid a batch last week that was amazing, all sides of the tank, the fake plants, and the heater were covered. Now she is starting up again.
I'v had her for 4 years now, and now all of a sudden she's cranking out the eggs. Why now? Is'n t she kinda old for a fish? This is also the first time she's been alone. My other Corey died about 4 months ago. They never mated.
Also, what would you do with all the infertile eggs? My fish are having a hard time eating them, and I didn't want the tank to get fowl. Would you scrub em , cause they really dont scrub off, just kinda do a sticky roll thing.
I thought about getting a fish for that tank that will be able to eat them and get along with the others : betta, sword tails, platties.
