i have 4 sterba cories and love em. id like to add more and have read diff species of cories will school together, is this true? any suggestions? will diff species get along?

i have read of different cories schooling, but sterba are a larger species of cory if im not mistaken so im not really sure

Yes, corys are some of the most peaceful fish around and are happy to hang out together. You could also get a bunch more sterbai corys and try for a breeding group.

ya i like the sterbai but there not always around here. ill keep an eye out thx for the advice

At one time I had peppered cories, bronze, and pandas and they all schooled together. Now I have sterbai and bronze, and it is a rare thing to see them all separated. They usually all play and school together pretty well.

my blue spotted cories even will hang with the pygmies and the brochis splendens. that's not even including the unidentified ones that came with them when I got them through aquabid.
the pygmies tend to prefer hanging in the plants and the others in the open areas, but there's intermingling.

I've read people observing them in the wild or large aquarium groups will see two separate schools mingle and swim around together before separating back into their respective groups.
I've got 11 that I got at once and I call them the hoard. they come in and take over (in a community tank), just ignoring other fish trying to push them away. no one can resist the hoard! they even set perimeter guards.
cories are great fish.

i keep around 25 corys all mixed and matched and they all stay with one another i even a have clown loach that group with the corys as well as all the colours look great toghter

rite on guys im gonna try a couple of stores today
