Corkscrew willow is really cool. I had it growing in my empty filter returns on both sides of my tank. It really resembles a forest growing out of my tank and if I don't say so myself- Looks amazing!
One of my jealous friends remarked that it might not be safe for my cichlids.
I've had them in for about a month now with no issue but... I love my fish and don't want to put them at risk
I've done some research on Salix Matsudana and other than possibly acting as a root stimulant for some of my crinums I don't see any red flags popping up as I read.
Does anyone here know or have any thoughts on this?

Do you have any pictures? I would like to see this. I bet it does look good.

I ended up moving them from the edges of the tank and attaching them with Velcro straps to the vertical drift in the center to make more of a "tree effect". The hornwort was meant to be temporary. I really thought they would've torn it apart by now. I'll try to get some better pics. Leaves are opening up now.
