Fed my baby corn today and i noticed the first time i fed him he didnt wrap himself around it and constrict it. Today i tried giving the pinky a gentle tug with the forecepts once he had a hold of it and he just started backing away with it.

Is it really a bad thing if he never does it?
Is it cuz he is a baby?
He will most likely be fed frozen his whole life so i dont see how it could hurt.

Both of the corn snakes I have had did the same thing. I sold one and the other died before they were full grown but as babies they never constricted their prey. I never gave much thought into it. Let's see what others say...

My wifes milk wont consrict frozen but will alive. Its fine if ur feeding frozen

My Carpet Python usually doesn't constrict either, I think it's just because they know it's already dead and still want to eat it, as opposed to having been tricked into thinking it was alive and going after it on account of that.
