Towards the end of the week, I plan on picking up my baby corn snake. However, the under tank heater I ordered may not get here until a day or two after that. So what should be done during this 1-2 day period before it arrives?
I know corn snakes prefer low light, but I do have two Zoo Med 50w Basking Spot Lamps, which both or just one could be used if necessary. Maybe some sort of cloth layer so the snake does not get burned from direct light.

The weather will be highs of 82, and lows of 67.
What would be the best temporary setup?(this is ONLY if the under tank heater does not arrive when it's suppose to)
Looking for some input from more knowledgeable keepers.

I used to have a low wattage heat lamp on my cornsnake I highly doubt anything will happen to it in one or two days but just have the light on him anyways just in case post pictures once you get him

Thanks. Probably going to pick her up on Wednesday or Friday.

I would not even worry about it. The snake will be fine at room temp- especially during the summer.

I picked her up Wednesday, so far all she wants to do is hide. Probably going to leave her alone for a week.

She is in a 40 gallon tank.

I have not seen her leave the hide yet, she does change positions inside it though.
She was last fed on the 1st, I tried feeding her on the 10th but she didn't.
Should I attempt again, or wait a few more days?
