Cheers** i just found my corn snake.. but it got some altitude problem, i grab it, it bites me, i try to put my hand close to it, its in striking position..

I know its VERY HUNGRY, cause it missing for weeks, but before his "GREAT ESCAPE" hes been like that.. How can i make it calmier?

Althou, its like a nibble bit (not as painful as a flowerhorn bite) but its still hurt :irked: :irked:

time and patience. Corns are not agressive by nature. But any animal will learn to be agressive if it yields the result hes looking for. If he nibbles you, try not to put him down immediately. keep holding him. Show him that aggression will not deter you or yield ANY specific result. If he thinks it ineffective, he wont bother continuing. It will take a little time, but corns are pretty good. Give him some time, of course, to calm down from the stress of being loose. And dont come at him like godzilla from above- reach and scoop him from underneath and behind. once in your hands, he should be calmer. just let him crawl from hand to hand, arm to arm at his discretion and simply support his body. You shouldn't have too much trouble here... Good Luck!

and one more question, since the rubbermaid box cant hold him, cause he can squeeze thru the crack..

I am wondering, is it possible to keep it with my ball python in the 30G tank? or will they kill each other? Both snakes are juv..

NO! Absolutely not. The first rule to herp-keeping is never mix them. They will stress each others out. If he can squeeze through the Rubbermaid, then it is your responsibility to make it secure. There are clamps and weights you can purchase to keep the lid down.

Corn Snakes have totally different needs and one is always more active than the other and would disturb the other so No, Dont mix them.

Feed him...small meals every 4-5 days...Corn snakes have a relatively fast metabolism compared to other snakes, so if you find that he seems to be wanting food every time you open the cage, give it to him, and he'll calm down in time.

i visited like 3 stores today, and they all said the same thing "Sold out pinkies" (even the frozen) so I am wondering is there any subsitude food for corn snake? a mice is too big..

ill post a pic of him later >.> camera out of batteries >.<;;
