Anyone have corn snakes? I'm Sorta of new into reptiles, With a 18-20" ball python and hopefully after i digg up more dirt, corn snakes. I want to get a male and female and breed them. I was going to just get a old 55 gallon for the two but i'm going to fab up a dresser, cut the drawers out and put a sliding plexie glass door. Any one breed OR own corns?

I got one corn, would be cool to breed them though they are flooded in the market already, then again they are such good pets that its not going to be impossible to get rid of them I would think. You should be able to enter corn snakes in the search and find lots of threads on them, I dont recall any members being regular breeders but if you need or want the most info you can google corn snake forums and Im sure a handfull will come up. They are great little pets.

Hello:
Corn Smakes (or Red Rat Snakes which is the preferred name I use) are great pets and excellent for first time breeding projects. These snakes are nice, very gentle, usually feed readily, and easy to breed. The bonus is that even the eggs are easy to hatch. Sometimes the hatchlings are a little touchy but many of them feed right away. This snake has been so popular that they have been bred for many different traits and are readily available in a wide variety of genetically different "morphs." They are a good choice for anyone. I have bred them on several occasions myself and am currently raising up a new group of Okeetee Red Rats to breed next year. If you have any questions, just post them.

So "creature" you breed them and sell them?

I found a lady in florida that breeds them and sells them, And i'm possibly going to buy a male and female,

The handleing and easy care im aware of, I want to find some that breeds them on here.

Hello:
I used to raise a few of them but gave them away for some other things. I am currently raising a group from a bloodline I've wanted for years but they won't be large enough to breed until next season. There are lots of good Red Rat Snakes around and breeding season is about to begin. By July you could have your pick from just about any bloodline and for very reasonable prices. There are still lots of good babies left over from last year and they are a bit larger now and established. For a first timer they would be the better bet.
Good Luck and...Have a Great Day!!!
