A reasonable article.
Against the belief of many keepers I keep an 8" Asiatic Snakehead in a community tank with may other fish similar size and smaller. There hasn't been any sign of aggression.
Asiatic was not mentioned in the article but it is said to be on of the more aggressive ones.

I never feed him live food, only frozen since a baby in hopes that he knows what is and isn't his to eat.
I am mindful that at some point in is life he may become aggressive and I have a tank ready if it ever happens.

Thanks for flagging the article.

I skimmed through it, not bad generalized info.

johnnyberotten, our the only other Canadian I've run into who also keeps asiatica.

My experiences are quite different though i have a 14+" female and she is as aggressive as they come I feed frozen and pellets but she has gutted , skinned shredded and killed (in that order normally lol) every tank mate I've ever tried even as a small 5-6" er she killed off a pleco who was a good 8" and 3-4 times he body weight. She attacks me on a regular basis, rip's net's attacks new decore or violently turns on the filter return from time to time lol. The only tankmate she ever tolerated was her mate I grew out a group of fry let nature take it's course and ended up with a pair. They were fine together until breeding season, the female was almost twice the size of the male and he died during rough courtship. Although worth noting it was always her that was the killer, even when picking off the other Channa after pairing. The male was a shy timid fish who kept to himself might have even done well with tank mates alone but i have no way to know as she would kill anything and everything right away.

On the flip side i kept and auranti for several years in a mix tank (again was a pair and lost one in courtship). She didn't bother tank mates unless challenged, she even ignored bite sized smaller tank mates. The only time i ran into an issue was with larger tank mates, if tank mates challenged her over a hiding spot or food she would literally rip them in half.

Holly crap!
Quite a different temperment. I love your discriptions.
I hope mine never changes, it's one of my favorite fish but I would hate to devote a whole tank to him.

Cheers
