correct me if im wrong... im trying to heal my aro's tankmates cloudy eye.
1st day of adding melafix today... so tomorrow 25% wc then add melafix again?
do this 7days or as long as cloudy eye is still there... did i understand the intructions right?

i dont believe you are spose to do a wc daily i think its after a few days of treatment and then a wc if you need to continue dosing. im not 100% sure because i dont have a bottle in front of me but thats how i remember it. and dont forget to take out the carbon! the treatment will be cycled out of the water before it has a chance to do anything

Soooooo? How did/is that treatment proceeding on the Cloudy-Eye?
Did the Melafix work for ya?
Curious...

The usual gamut of questions...
Tank size
Water parameters, NH3 NO2 NO3 PH, temp (need actual test results)
Filtration
Established tank
New tankmates/decor
Prior/recent history of illness disease
Current illness/disease symptoms/duration
Size/age of fish
Tankmates

Cloudy eyes can be caused by a number of things,
High NH3 or NO2... Need those actual test results.
Bacterial infection...
Worm cataract... I've never dealt with it and not sure how to.
Stress/water quality...
These play major roles in practically every illness/disease/parasite.

Treatments,
Pristine water parameters.

My first choice is a combo of Melafix & Pimafix, for problems caught early these are usually sufficient by themselves IME.
I would use them in conjunction with a actual medication if used/needed.

Medications...
Paragon, Paragon II, Maracyn, Maracyn II, Ampicillex, Furan II and Neosulflex...
I recommend either increasing dosage and/or length of treatment above the manufactures recommendations by half.

If you can get some medicated food (antibacterial) into him that could help.

Remove carbon, use 5mm per ever 10 u.s gallons, add this amount daily for 7 days, on the third/fouth day, do a 20-30% water change, continue treatment, and then a 30-50% water change after treatment, replace carbon. If needed - repeat.
