I posted this here on another part of the forum already. Im hoping I can get even more feedback here though. We have a 3½-4" cortez ray in our 125gal. We got it 4 days ago and its eaten twice for us so far. I was wondering, its very active, weve seen it beneath the surface of the sand only once (The day we got it) and not since.. its constantly moving, is that typical of the cortez ray? Our water parameters are fine and we do 10hr light cycles..

Heres a picture for referance. Ill get a pic of the set-up sometime tonight

Any input/suggestions/help are certainly welcomed!

Try posting in the shark/stingray forum this perticular forum is for freshwater rays, as far as activeness.... that sounds normal as far as freshwater rays go... however saltwater.... i donno... im sure a mod can move this to the correct forum

whopps.. sorry. i didnt know this was the freshwater section of the forum. sorry about that.

i was also going to ask is it typical for them to sleep up against the glass with one side touching the sand? Its not moving but is breathing, the moon lights are on. its the least ive seen it move lol...
