I have 5 Cory catfish and one of them laid eggs as a few followed behind her. How long until they hatch if they do? And how should I prepare?

They should only take a few days... a week at most... Be careful though, a lot of fish would eat them, so find a way to protect them. Good luck!

I had a lot of hiding places in my 55 and almost every time eggs were laid they were eaten within an hour. I had easily over a dozen batches of eggs laid while I had them so that says something. I'd move the eggs to a different tank to raise them if you want a good chance of them surviving.

I would try and move them but they laid them on the side of the tank not an object. If they get ate this time, I’ll just move the cories to another tank and try again!

Sounds like a good plan. If I were you I'd expect to lose this batch and just focus on getting everything ready for the 2nd batch or even the 3rd batch if you don't have everything ready in time for the 2nd batch.

I attended a talk by a well known Cory breeder, and he said, when they lay eggs on the walls of of his community tanks he sometimes scrapes them off with a razor blade, and puts them in a breeder box with a nice flow (not enough to blow them around) fo the fry are not eaten.
I have never done this with Corys, but often use breeder boxes and egg tumblers with cichlid eggs and fry.
