ok i am only 14 ani i remember when i was maybe 8 or 9 when i could go into my LFS and buy cory cats for just under a dollar and now i want some but i cant bring myself to pay 4.99 for a cory cat does anyone know what in the world happened to their prices other fish prices seem to stay the same and also what website or fish stor in the cincinnati area has cheap corys

I am much older than you but I never remember seeing Cory's for under a dollar at regualar price. Maybe I just didn't notice. What kinda Cory's are those for 4.99. I can get albino for 2.99, greens for 3.99, and several others for cheap. Pandas usually go for like 8.99 or 7.99. My local petsmart had emerald Cory's on sale a few weeks a go for 1.00. But ever place is going to have a price difference depending on geographical location, supply and demand.

Yup. 4$ for any cory you can get in my town, but it's all albino and green. Don't remember it ever being much different in AR, the ones I drool over online are mostly 5-6$ a head plus shipping.

Maybe their just more desirable now.. although I never really liked them up until recently.. and I payed I believe $3.49 for agassizi (sp?) corys..

Cories are 5.99 for salt and pepper or emerald or albino.
Sterbai or julii or panda or melanistrus are $7.99 where I live

You can always pick up some for free I imagine. From people that have some that are "getting too large".
That's how I got so many.
