So i have 4 albinos, 3 schwartzs, and a emerald cory in a 55 gallon tank with a small sailfin pleco and some dwarf puffers. Today after i came home i was surprised to find that the corys had laid eggs all over the sides of the tank and on some of the plants. So now my question is what should i do with the eggs? should i just leave them be, or take them out and put them in a 10 gallon with some cherry shrimp?

What I do with my Cory eggs is I remove them off everything and place them in a breeding trap, can get at most pet stores. Let them sit for a few days, they will turn an amber color, or they will go white and fuzzy and turn squishy. After anywhere from 3-7 days the eggs will hatch and you will have these tiny little things that don't even resemble corys. After about 24-30 hours after they hatch feed baby brine shrimp ideally, but very finely crushed food and hikari first bites work as well. I have so many cory fry and eggs that I have 4 breeder traps in my community tank! Anyways, after they get to be the size so nothing in your tank can eat them, you can put them in there, or grow them out in a sepperate 10g tank or so, such as the one with your cherry shrimp.

I moved the eggs to a breeder trap none have grown fungus yet so I'm very happy. There are about 30 or so eggs, but i didn't really count. I bought hikari first bites today. I think once the fry hatch and they grow a little bigger i will raise them in the ten gallon. Thanks again. Ill post pics when they get a little bigger.
