I was wondering if I was the only one noticing the price of rays going up. I don't know if it's just my area or the local fish stores I have been contacting but I am hearing some crazy prices on rays. For example, one LFS by my wants $550 for a 8" motoro and another said they only stock reticulated pups when they can "get them in stock" and sell them for $175!

I have been on the hunt for a female motoro for a while now and am having no luck. I never thought I would consider buying a ray online to be shipped but if I do, site suggestions anybody?

Wow lfs are really jacking prices up now a days....I would say check out washinton rays...He has motoro's....

I bought 2 small 5 - 6 inch disk ( M, F) from Ichban tropical fish and they are in Awesome shape they arrived they had a slight amonia burn on their tummy but its
all healed up and they have become my favorite fish .

I am going to place other orders with him , talked to him several times throughout the buying process

The only thing I am unsure about is I am thinking I have to males , buying a new camera soon ( was supposed to today but got busy ) and going to take a video and some pics .

I haven't heard anything about washingtion rays , they are a vendor on here but they have osme nice looking motoro's for sale wants 100 each or buy 2 for 150 or buy 3 for 200

Shark aquarium has motoros for sale also not sure what sex they are though ....

so my dumbass just put 2 and 2 together and realized that the aquascapeonline.com warehouse is only an hour and a half away from me. I plan on making a trip to them this Saturday. I'm so mad that I spent months looking for rays when they were close this entire time lol

Call Aquascape before you set off. In the past, at least, they haven't always had the store open. Also make sure they have some Motoro in. Shark aquarium is only another 1/2 hour further.

the area has alot to do with prices, the more it cost to ship that will reflect in the price. also to seasons affect the prices too. since its getting closer to fall and winter the prices will go up, again because it will cost more to keep the rays worm during shipment.

gas prices going up so it cost more to ship the ray and availability that why it goin up.

Cakilla do you know anywhere local around in the Chicago area not selling motoros for over 100 bucks?? The store that Ive found had them listed for 135$.
Not that its much of a difference but sometimes i hate buying fish from a local fish store that doesn't keep the ray fat and happy.
