Cost of setting up a 55 gallon reef?

I was wondering what the estimated cost would be to set up a 55 gallon reef tank purchasing used and second hand equipment? NPR including fish or corals. I'm still way at from this project, and haven't done a bit of research yet but I would love to take the plunge into salt.

cost shouldnt mater. If you want a reef tank then go for it. if you have an Idea of what your looking for and you put the well spent money into it then Ill be worth it b/c its what your looking for and not a waist. if it dosent work out have a fullout plan since you already would have all the tools you need.

and Ive had people tell me the smaller the saltwater tank the more matnence and work haves to be done.
