I am thinking about putting a wet dry on my 125g. I am toying with the idea of trying to build one. Is it much more cost effective to build one then buy a pre made one? Roughly how much would i be looking to spend to build a sump with filter sock, bio balls, three or four foot tank and then I guess the plexi glass to divide? I am thinking that if the price difference isn't that big it might be worth saving my time and just buying one.

Wait for a Petco sale and pickup a 55g tank for $55. You will save a lot of money over a commercial built sump (If you can even find one this big).

6 months and counting!

My 110g tank started to leak which curtailed my Diy Stand and Diy sump. I have all the pieces ready to go when I have a new tank though.
