Is there a certain way to tell the difference in the two? I've heard the nics are more slender but that's about it. Any other factors? Is this something that you can only tell when they are bigger? 
Costa Rican or Nic dovii?

I have always heard that the costa Ricans are supposed to have a stockier body shape than Nicaraguans. Unfortunately I don't have any firsthand experience growing out the two locales, or any good credible evidence to cite here, so take that with a grain of salt.
Its hard to tell at that age unless it's yellow which is a certain locale of cr.
CR are usually more tall bodied with a pointy snout and nic are most stream lined with a blunt snout. I don't know why its like that but that's what noticed. I guess it some genetic deal and probably dependent on where they're caught.
