Without a catch location from the exporter, it could be a mix of the 2 different locations.
Almost fully certain Costa Rican or majority Costa Rican. Look tall body and nice head for such a small specimen. No doubt a true beauty. I'd need to see shot of his lips from birds eye view to further my strong assumption. Attached is my Costa Rica at 16". Notice the similarities. Despite the horrible pic...he had nice color also. Maybe close to yours but not quite.
most cichlids unless a very distinct locale i can see an educated guess even locales can have very different fish of the same species..but a fish like dovii which most ppl don’t keep pure strains you prob have a better chance winning the lottery than figuring out where it’s originally from haha
Hi thanks for much for that. I don't think the picture came through however. Just one question though, does the CR version not get as long as the Nic? Would a CR dovii reach 20 inches in length?
