could a jd and a texas breed together

can a jd be to old to breed hes about 4 year old so hes a beast.can he still breed i think its a he.

4 is not that old for a cichlid......They live up to and past 10 years old.

By the way, from my experience, Texas will try and breed with anything...

I had a texas that would try to breed with his tank decorations so I reckon they'll breed with anything
