Last week on Tuesday I bought a small Green Clown Goby "Gobiodon atrangulatus" for my 5g hex tank. The last time I saw him was on Sunday when I got back from my cruise. In that tank I had a small blue0green chromis and a tiger pistol shrimp.

I have looked on the floor and around the tank (tank is covered anyway) and looked through the rock wrok and don't see him anywhere. is it possible the shrimp attacked and ate him?

That isn't a goby I have commonly heard of being paired with a pistol shrimp. If they were not compatible then it is possible.

+1...that goby is more of a percher...instead of a cave dweller.

So I guess, yes it is possible.

Well I replaced him with a new Hi-Fin Banded Goby (Stonogobiops nematodes)... Seems to be doing well so far

I still never found the clown goby... the only theory I can come up with is it was eaten or grew legs and literally walked off lol

Saltwater fish seem to disappear overnight. He probably died/got killed then feel into the rock work and got turned into supper.
