48x19x26 / 103 USG / 86 impg / 380 litre

2 x Heros Efaciatus (Severums, Gold and Red Spotted)
2 x Pterophyllum scalare (Koi Angel)
2 x Ancistrus Sp. (Bristlenose Plec + Gold BN)
11 x Hyphessobrycon bentosi (White Tip Rosy Tetras)
6 x Hyphessobrycon columbianus (Colombian Tetras)
5 x Xiphophorus maculatus (Platys)
2 x Corydoras Sp.
1 x Chromobotia macracanthus (Clown Loach) (did have 3 but lost 2 to white spot months ago and don't really want to replace them because they are so expensive)
3 x Metynnis argenteus (Silver Dollars)

I was running 2 x Fluval 306's on this tank, but one has stopped working for some unknown reason.....so i need to run 2? i'd rather just run 1...i still do 30% water changes weekly.

You could probably add another cichlid, but I would worry about your tetras starting to become snacks. My Blue Acara ate at least 3 2" swordtails within 48 hours of them being introduced in my 180G.

Hmm never had problems with them eating smaller fish before :S

Baring in mind how big these tetras are...they are only a couple of inches smaller than a fully grown Firemouth or Blue Acara :S

I've kept firemouths with small tetras and never had a problem. I have also kept firemouths with other larger tetras and had a major problem (different firemouths). I think you will be fine with either. Maybe get them when small to let your tetras grow full size first.
