In my 100g in the future i wanted to keep the following...

1 x Oscar
1 x Blue Acara
Severums (how many?)
Gibbiceps Plec

The dimensions of the tank are 4ftx2ftx2ft

Definitely - that's 120g US and you should have ample room. A single severum or a compatible pair should be ok.

The potential problem is that the tank is only 4' long, and therefore if there's any aggression the fish being chased won't have much room to run.

Cool, the good thing is Oscars are pretty cheap so i can try a few specimens :)

How many Sevs could i keep?

I currently have 3 Sevs, Blue Acara, Clown Loach etc

I would have to get rid of my Angels, tetras...How about a large Bristlenose? coudl i keep him still?

Could i do this?

1 White/Red Oscar
1 Gold Sev
1 Green Sev
1 Gibbi
1 Large Bristlenose
1 Male Blue Acara
and my random Clown Loach i have had for years?

Should be ok as long as the first three fish get along. I don't know much about pleco compatibility, but I'd guess with a 4x2 footprint it should work out.

I think clown loaches enjoy being in a group. Apparently yours is doing ok since you've had it for years, but if it were me, I'd either get a larger group (maybe not in this tank), or let it go.

Yeh bless him (the loach) he was in a group of 5, i have had him for a few years, hes been in about 5 diff set ups from Neons to Mbuna, to breeding Green Terrors and Convicts, to peaceful south Americans, sadly his mates didnt make the journey but he seems pretty happy, i have thought about getting him a friend or 2 but he seems ok and i don't really want any more.

He survived a nasty wound on his head to (really deep) caused by a Green Terror a year ago and its healed and hes still acting as if nothings happened :P
