But one of those big rubber maid clear storage containers and use it as a fish tank they are injection molded no leaks and the lids could be a hood would look a little ghetto but how would this work!!!!
i use them for moving fish and if i need to get them out of the tank for any reason. they work alright if you get the ones that are stiffer, the softer plastic ones tend to lose shape somewhat
wow a hoosier responding thats great i kind of wanted to get one for one of my flower horns i mean the gig what would you sat are at least 60 gallons right i want to put it in there single and then re introduce it in like 6 months not worried about looking at it right now i would just need a filter and air i have a small florescent kitchen light i could use so i would be good to go just need the wifes approval
Can work good as a breeding or fry growing 'tank' where you aren't trying to display the fish. If it's just in the basement or a fish room, who cares what it looks like
The fish wont care, they want clean water, food and a bit of space to swim, as long as you give them that they dont care what the tank is made of.
Get the better plastic bins though, they are thicker plastic and handle the weight of the water better.
i am def. going to this probably have to stow it in a closet lol we are having a baby on friday a boy she is being induced so the fish tanks may have to ride shotgun for a while!
