A 10" royal pleco is sure to be worth a ton, what I was wondering was if I could get one at 3" or so, and give him to my LFS (good place, Will Hayward works there) because panaques raise in value. I don't intend to, just curious...

you can almost always trade fish to a store for credit/fish/food/ect.. all depends on local markets though for how much you would get for it at a LFS..

^^^ I agree. Just remember you will be buying it at retail price and will be selling back at basically wholesale so probably wont really make much even with it being bigger than when it was purchased. My lfs will give more in store credit than cash but everything is priced so much higher than Dr. foster & Smith (for an example) that they still make out like bandits.
