Could i keep a Goonch?

I should have a 540Gal in a month or so (keeps getting put off for a little while

Just curious, why is every one so down on this guy/girl keeping a goonch...... he could keep a B.bagarius tops out at around 10-14". Even if he wanted to keep Yarelli.....what size tank are you guys expecting this person to procure?

Eventually an upgrade would be needed but the growth rate on these fish is not too bad. His tank is adequate for quite some time. The most difficult part is getting a truly identified goonch whether it be Rutilus, Lica, Bagarius, or Yarrelli. Shippers often mix them all up and call them Yarrelli. This causes quite the id problem. Rob and I have become quite good at ids on these fish however so if you do get one either of us can confirm. Also remember airate the CRAP out of your tank and make sure you have good flow and steady temperatures.
