Could it be Chocolate Love??

I have three Chocolate Cichlids in my 180....Two females and one male. They are only 5-6" but pretty thick. Since they reach over 12" I did not think them mature enough to breed but two seem to have paired off and together are digging a nest exposing a larger rock in the corner. Could they be ready??

I have seen small ones like yours that already have made some baby's.
So I would say yes it's possible.

Cool.....surprised me. They never dug in the sand before and suddenly are rearranging the tank!!
