I have a 120g aquarium that I am putting a Jack Dempsey, Firemouth, Convict and a Salvini in, with 5 Silver Dollars. My question is , I know Dimidiochromis Compressiceps (eye biter) is from lake Malawi and needs a high ph. The tank will be running at a 7.0ph, could I put a Commressiceps in there. I know its not the right thing to do but I really love the fish and just was wondering if it could work. Prob. not but what do you guys think? Thanks

It would work if the other fish havnt established the territorys, i mix Electric Blue haps which are similar with Centrals with no probs (and have mbuna with my red devil)

Cool so no problems with water chemistry then? If you think about they are all farm raised anyway, but hopefully it will work.

If you worry about the ph you can raise it to 7,5-8, it's no prob for CA cichlids actually they like it.
But personally I wouldn't mess with the ph, because like mentioned in the previous post, a stable ph is better then one that is constantly changing. Even if that stable ph is not really perfect.

Cool guys, so with the chemistry being out of the way, do you guys think he would mix with the fish that are going into the tank? They would all be juvies, and all would be introduced to the tank at the same time. Thanks
