Could someone please identify this arowana

I got this arowana as a juvenile a year ago. It's about 16 inches now. Not sure what kind it is. Some help with id would be much appreciated.

JARDINI OR ASIAN.....Where are you located? The picture is pretty blurry but it looks like an Asian Aro to me.....what color variation is impossible to tell from that pic.

That's a blurry picture and cannot even make out the number of scale rows. I'll guess asian aro as it's not looking like jar and not a lei.

Anything I can do to promote his color? He seems dull. I know they don't go full color like the red or gold but right now he just looks a bit washed out
