Could these be hybrids??

Very much south..
To me the body shape suggests hybrid, but hard to tell. If you use the rule of thumb where females have the black blotch on the dorsal, that would suggest these are females.

Do you know if they are siblings? The one that looks odd is the one with a more pointed head.
 
I caannot know wheter they are siblinjs.

Got them as Cyanus, and then a frined said one looked Escondido....

The TEXAS guys say they look hybrid...
Am lost....
 
Well there is one thing that is for sure.....they are beautiful!
 
They look cyano to me I'm a Texas guy I breed them for years they def.. female ......Dnt see hybrid in them but who knows with thee fish today....

for sure not the pure carpintis I've known..

They are not pure unless they are newly discovered WC strain from a new location.
