Here , there and every where
Hi,

Im just thinking now about a Amazon community set up would these small fish work together as im not 100% sure,

Angel fish (4 to 5 of them)
Cory catfish (10 peppered and bronze)
Banjo catfish
Striped & spotted Doras catfish (group of 6, 3 of each)
Giant whip tale catfish (only get 8")
Pictus catfish (2 of them)
and some kind of large 3" plus Tetra as a shole for a main display what wont get eaten by the Pictus and banjo catfish.

The tank its self is a normal 4foot tank and is 12 inches wide and 18 inches high.

I would love a tyre track eel in the tank as well, ino its not an Amazonian fish but there stunning , and I can get a bigger tank when it grows to 10 inches.

And that is all I want in the tank, I will be adding lots of hiding places in the tank for the catfish and eel.

Any comments welcome.
Dave.

Yes you would be fine, except the TT eel, as you mentioned, they get 30"plus. You may want to look at zig zag or peacock eels which stay under 12"

Thanks for the replys so fast guys, I might leave the eel and pictus out as I wouldn't mind trying to breed my angles there parents, parents are wild caught ones so im told ive been speaking to this bloke who is willing to sell me some for a fair price.

would all the other fish be ok in this set up, ive seen some fish called clown loachs on here ive took a shining to them might add two of them to just look nice.

But ive just read there not Amazon based fish but im sure it wont hurt also are the fish all ok with plants as there is little information on some of the fish.

Meany thanks again,
Dave.

You could put some congo tetras in there. They look great in a nice school.

I'll look them up mate and see what they look like, also anyone know any good plants for them at this moment I only know Java moss and Amazon sword plants. any other that look nice will be nice.

Thanks
Dave.

There nice looking but the angles would properly eat there tails as they are long I had it happen with one angle fish and a beta in my old 15g about 3 years ago. so I wouldn't want the fish to die from stress, if they ever got attacked.

Nice looking fish though, cheers for the idea BTW.
