So I went over to my friends house today because he said he got a new fish. In his 125 right now he has a Gold sev, JD, Jade goby, and a palmas bichir. His new fish is a fish Ive never seen in person. He got a 8 inch Frontosa cichlid. I know its an african cichlid but he was told that if kept at a ph of 7.5 that it would be fine with other species of fish and it would adapt to a lower ph. This fish is probly in my top 10 most beautiful fish now. Thought about getting one for myself seeing that my ph is around 7.5. Not sure if I'm gonna do it. Never kept african cichlids but i fell in love with this fish

I keep SA's and africans together all the time. if you adept them well to the ph, they should be fine. And remember. A stable PH is better then you attempting to lower/higher it with those additive crap. :)

Your friend has the same set up as you and CICHLID34 besides the Frontosa. You guys must be really tight! Frontosas are very beautiful African Cichlids. I've heard of people keeping them with American Cichlids. So its possible. I just don't know how it will respond to the JD and Sev. I guess your friend will have to wait and see.

We are friends we go to the same lfs and like the same fish. Our friend has more tanks tho. He's got 2 125's and a 250 with a jardini and some hybrid catfish i cant think of the name right now.
