6x2x2 tank looking to stock it with firemouth, lima shovelnose and jewels at the moment wondering which would work jack dempsey, texan or GT

i say dont go with firemouths or jewels, i think the lima will be eyeing them sooner or later just got with texas and lima

may do just looking for options never kept a lima but looking for active colorful fish, not sure how active they are but i do like how they look. how hard is it to get them on pellets?

shouldnt be to hard
just dont feed them feeders, get them on silversides and frozen krill first then switch to sinking carnivore and massivore delight

what else would work with a lima and a texan in a 180, also how hard are texans on plants as i do want some live plants

could maybe snook and or severums work with texas cichlid and lima?

if u'r looking for an active fish the lima probably isn't the way to go unless u have lunar lights. if they have proper surroundings they usually just sit straight vertical in plants all day long hiding

Most rough and scrappy cichlids will tear live plants to shreads. Severums will tolerate plants, as well most, if not all smaller cichlids.

u'r just proving my point that a lima isn't a great selection for this setup

thats fine not dead set on any fish would really like snook, just dont know what else would work with them. Ive been told severums will. i have lunar lights on order, what catfish would you suggest if any with snook and sev's
