Could I keep a male and female ball python in the same tank(40g breeder). I want to try breeding and I have a male and was wondering if I got a female could they stay together all the time or just for breeding. Also if anyone could give me info on breeding ball pythons. Thanks

Just for breeding purposes. Two snakes together, bar some species, causes undo stress. One gets dominated by the other. You should avoid it.

you can keep multiple females but it is not recomended you keep a female with a male or a few males, they dominate eachother adn cause lots of stress on eachother as was mentioned above^

1 snake, 1 cage. 2 snakes, 2 cages. Must I say more?

Hmm had 2 ball pythons together for 14 years since they were babies. keep them fed enough, there has never been trouble.

They can stay together, it's just much easier to keep them separate. You'll know who's eating what, shedding and pooping when, etc. They'll always be vying for the best hide spot and there's only ever one best hide spot.

True, these 2 are always in the same hiding in the same place, but thats why you buy the biggest hiding places. And it is always a smart idea to take the snakes out and seperate them for feeding.
