could you keep a Buttikoferi with jags and a red devil i know that one is from africa and the others america i was just wondering cos they are all real nasty and thought they may be able to handle it

I have a 6.5-7" Buttikoferi in with a 10" Jag and a 10-11" Midas and everything is fine. There is some gill flaring once in awhile and chasing ocassionally but no damage to any of the fish. I have them in a 180 gallon with an 8" Vieja Zonatus, a 6" Paratilapia Polleni and a 7" Vieja Maculicauda. They all get along pretty well believe or not.

i have them 2 gether in a 75. a 10inch jag and 6inch red devil flares but nothin at all...

i thinking of getting smallish one in my 130 gallon tank which has a 7" midas and biggish pai of jags so should be ok

do not add a single fish I usually add 2 to an already established tank it lessens the chance of it being singled out & killed. If you are going to add new fish rearrange the decorations then add the new fish before the old ones reestablish territory. Otherwise they will be fine together other then the expected aggression of all above species.
