So I picked up a used tank on craig's list today. $200 for a 110g w/ metal stand, 2 lights (1 without a bulb) the top piece, filter that is way to small, and 2 nice rocks. (threw out the rest of the stuff)
That was well planned out and all, but driving home I stopped for some cleaning supplies since the tank was used
I of course had to look at the fish to see what they had.....I'm looking at a tank of maybe 10 black cons and I notice a female. Then I saw it rubbing up on the filter tube and noticed it was literally laying eggs in front of me. I ended up taking her home and added her to my tank of fish waiting for there new home
I had no plans on keeping cons right now, but something made me buy her. Once the new tank is cycled I'll find her a mate, maybe pink. (had blk male pink female pair once)
Anyone else get roped into bringing home a fish randomly like this
