I'd been holding out for a while, but always kept my eyes peeled for a nice Midas/RD at my LFS. After drooling at some of the beauties on this site, I finally ran into some luck and found him/her yesterday. He/she is around 6" and has some great potential. The only minor issue, his/her left eye (see pic 3) has some noticeable (yet limited) clouding. It's vision seems to be fine, and other than that is in very good health. I've increased the temp to 84F and treated the tank with salt. I'm hoping this was the result of a recent trauma and/or poor water quality issue in its previous tank. I shuffled some things around so that this guy has his own 90G (along with a BNP). I am very meticulous about my tanks, and perform 30-50% weekly wc's (along with heavy filtration). Would love some feedback thoughts on both the fish and his/her eye issue. I've decided to name it "Stevie" after one of my favorite students. Thanks!
