i spoke about replacing my precious jewel chiclids for a reason

i was supposed to get these on monday, but i was so anxious that i couldn't wait till monday and made the 200 mile trip for the replacements

the above pic is my favorite one of these guys

the above guy was involved in a scuffle with the others and he got pwned i guess and lost his eye , but this fellow is the most inquisitive fellow in the group

check out that blue, they still are a little stressed out as of now, but after a few more days in my tanks, they will settle down, and then we can have more pics

Awesome! Well worth trading the jewels for these guys. How many are there?

no not a trade, the jewels were given to someone else
and the channa were picked up from a local hobbyist, who has quite a monster setup of indian natives
he has a few more channa that would like to have, but all that will happen in good time
there are 7 of them, i planned for six, then there was this lonely guy in the tank and the owner gave it to me for free

oh he's doing fine, they are swimming around the tank and they even ate earthworms, they did a few mini cute death rolls to break the big earthworms and have had a nice feast
