I shot a couple of quick pics while I was checking the new arrivals. The barramundi is reaching the 6" mark and is coloring up nicely. I wanted a profile shot. But, after the flash of this pic, he beelined it for his cave. The P. polleni is starting to bulk upwards. A female Etroplus canarensis is starting to bulge from egg development. Too bad the males seem more intent on bickering among themselves than paying attention to the females. And, a red-lip loach makes a rare daytime appearance.

why dont we ever get full tank shots!!! :(
 
I like the front "flash" on the Lates--similar to that on dats, Siniperca, and other perciform piscivores. How's that for alliteration? Perciform piscivores predominantly practice predation. :D

Of course, I'm always a fan of Etroplus canarensis. :)
