Here are a couple of bass I've caught this summer. The 21" was caught on a shiner and the 20" on a spinner.Photo0066.jpgPhoto0060.jpg

Thanks guys. I thought the 21"er was going to be even bigger than he was. I thought I had a new personal record. I've caught a few 22"ers and always told myself if I get a 24"er I would get it mounted.

just throwing it out there if you do decide to get one mounted most taxidermists prefer to create replicas and nowadays most replicas come out looking better than a real mount and last a lot longer. that way the big fish can go back and get bigger as well :) good luck on your quest to join the 2' club!

I've heard a lot of people say that about replicas, however I have yet to see any replica that looks as nice/real as a good skin mount. Also replicas are made out of the closest mold they have, so it won't be an "exact" copy of your fish. I do prefer seeing fish released though...

Thanks.

If I catch a 24"er from the first lake pictured it will be a skin mount since it is a private lake and there are numerous large bass in the lake. If I catch it on a public lake it would prolly be a replica mount. But I agree with fisher12889 that I have yet to see a replica mount that looks better than a skin mount.
