So I got my first clown about a year ago at 8" over the year I have got 3 more from 6-5". The 2 larger ones are alot lighter than the smaller ones is there a reason for this also the body shapes are quite different aswell.

Also I feed them shrimps mussels cucumber and the odd corgette what else can I feed them.

One of the theories I've read about Clown Loaches 'graying out' is that they are the dominant loach(es) in the group. Being that your 2 biggest are graying out, this may be true. My most active CL is grayed out. As far as body shape, hard to say without pics. Maybe they are putting on more girth instead of length?

Cheers guys that is some good info I did sort of think body shape was due to collection point as you can see in this pic (not the best) the two larger ones Are much lighter.

Great loaches BTW. As an owner of a few loaches myself. I wouldn't be too concerned about the color tones. More so on the thinness of them or not eating, or becoming lethargic. Also, a big visual indicator is a white dot covering the pupil. That is a sign of water conditions, i.e. increased ph drop, ammonia / nitrate spikes. So, if none of those are present then those loaches are 100% healthy.

Cheers mate there real chunky I've seen some loaches recently that are really skinny for sale with white eyes. I did not to long ago have a bad case of ich in the tank and the clowns did suffer but now all is ok
