well my brother has a 55 with a lone pacu, so i figured id give him my male
jd bout 7''
well they didn't play nice, he has a few cuts and tares. so im putting him in my hospital tank/gtex growout, to treat him for beaten he received

so heres some pix of my fat male jd

and there his hospital tank hes sharing with 200 gtex fry

Sorry, meant to add I hope he's still fairly small in a 55g.

well a pacu should never be in a 55 but, its just a growout or at least thats what im told,
the pacu is probably about 7'' long and a good 4-5'' tall.

I just love Pacu... but after seeing a group of them a few years back at the Ripleys Aquarium in Myrtle Beach... It just blows me away that they are so commonly sold in shops...

As for a "grow out tank"... I put a few in a 6' round 300 gal rubbermaid tub and the smallest one hit 22" in a little over a year... the biggest was 4~5" longer and too strong to hold down to measure With ideal conditions they grow like... well like... heck, faster than anything I can compare them to!

But anyway... nice looking Dempsey. I'm sure he'll enjoy the texas snacks

hes doing well so far, and yes hes definitely enjoying his gtex snacks, but thats ok cause i have to do something with them
