Hello, I have a 125 with two 5" Oscars. I am wondering what are the chances that a 7" long yellow tail barracuda would not be eaten by these two. Anyone ever try to keep barracuda with oscars? Just wanted to get an opinion so I don't waste $40 on a quick meal for the oscars.
Thanks
Craig

if he is 7" and they are only 5" then no there is no way that they would be able to eat him, but i dont know anything about about barracuda's temperaments or how large they get because they may be to aggressive for the oscars or get to large for the tank, with a 125g and 2 oscars i would just add like a nice pleco and some silver dollars or other large growing dither to add some activity to the tank, as Os are extremely messy and need alot of water volume

Freaked stressed and probably kill himself banging into the glass if he doesn't stave to death 1st - problem with aggressive eaters like Oscars they will decimate the cudas food supply.

x2, i have the same problem with my oscars and my gar, i still have to handfeed my Gar every time, and have to push the oscars away to make sure the gar get the feeder fish that are meant for him.
mind you the gar is over a foot long and the oscars 9 and 11 inch.
