in the process of rescaping and rebuilding my in-wall 1100. removed the old filtration and replumbed with a new 7x2x2 sump,36" glass filter,2hp chiller and 116w uv.i also buffed the inside of the tank to remove haze and small scratches.i had to remove the cherry wood that covered the tank so I planed it to remove the old stain and reinstalled it.waiting on new doors since I'm too lazy to strip and sand the 8 doors.the tank had been bare bottom but now is covered in river rock,a few fake plants and some giant driftwood.each pc of driftwood is 60" long and 30" tall.easily a few hundred pounds each! (I found a great whosaler in los angeles that has HUGE driftwood).I currently have my "intermedia"/Xingu,kelberi,crenicichla zebrine and a few stripe dollars for stock.a fts is tough but heres a few...

I like it. Very nice especially the Inter-X.

Gorgeous tank and fish! Everyone looks very healthy and happy. Curious about the chiller, do you run it? I know they are big bucks so im assuming its on there for a reason but I cant imagine too many places in the world a tank that size would get too warm for the fish you keep.

Gorgeous setup and keep us updated, I could stare at pics like these all day!

before I changed the filtration, the tank had a 180g sump,2-1000 aquaultraviolet bead filters and the 116w u.v. the tank would reach 95 degrees pretty easily in the summer time. hulon and I had a long conversation on it while looking at the tank and we both think it was due to the uv light.at the moment, the uv is not on and the tank remains cool..right around 78-80.i will turn the uv back on next week and see what happens. it is now outside the house next to the glass filter instead of below the tank as before..if the tank gets hot again, then I have my answer (the wlm u.v. gets too hot).

the main filtration is a 7x2x2 sump with 4-50 micron socks,36x24x24 bio chamber with k1 and bio-chips. a picture is pretty tough due to its location but i'll try.

I have received many pm's about the driftwood whosaler..he is a pet store whosaler so unless you have a whaosle permit, sales are not permitted.next time I'm there, I may pickup some more huge pieces and offer them to members.

Tank and fish look beautiful !!!!! Not not the blbs altho they run hotter / better imo .It's the the ballast they run hot!!! and under a tank it just builds heat!!!!
