hey just purchased a baby mono hes about an inch and a half, eating blood worms and krill. i have him in my 55g, i am buying a new tank shortly, i was wondering how big of a tank would him and possible tank mates would need to be happy, would a 180, or a 210 be enough?

I think 210 may be enough for life depending on the footprint

get more PBass as tankmates, my two are always together and I wish I had more, they are beautiful to see swimming together...

i wanted to by the two at the lfs, and the guy said they would kill eachother, but i wasn't sure, i never trust lfs anyways. i got him for 11, there a tread with a pic of him somewhere. as for tank mates, can they live with larger new world chiclids, jags, terrors, carpinte?

as for jags depends on the individual fish, i tried to keep a mono with a jag and didn't have any luck constant fighting and biting of eachother, biut i have seen others where it has worked for them. My mono and my oscar and my belly crawler pike all get along great tho.

sounds good how what size tank you got them in? im planing ahead so im just looking around.

i have them in a 55gallon atm, but looking to buy a 240 gallon tank, waiting for 1 on craigslist in my area.

As long as the peacock bass are the same size they won't kill each other. Get a couple more peacock bass, put them in an 8x3x2 when they are bigger an keep them with a silver aro and large silver dollars. That's what I'm going to do with mine when they're bigger.

get more Pbass, Pbass will shoal, just look at other's tanks like Diesel Mack or R1Ridah

yeah bro, dun waste ur time with other cichs get a shoal of cichla...there s nothing better! 240, though depending on dimension wont last long with a shoal... u could keep 5 cichla for max 2-3 years tho..give it a go mate!

how many monos would you need for them to shoal??
