Added two loaches to my shoal now got 6 all 6" plus. First question is some of the loaches in the tank I got the new guys in looked like they may of had early stages of skinny disease is it contagious ? Also one of the new ones and one of the old ones have been dancing it doesn't look aggressive could it be breeding ?

Are we talking clowns, or did I just miss something? Pics?

I don't believe its contagious (if that's what they got), but being 6+inch..it's prob not what they got. They prob just haven't eaten much lately. Pump them up with some gd protein & they'll thicken...The dancing is most likely just happy clown antics, but u never know

I give up with dieting these guys.lol It's impossible when your trying to grow some out and at the same time trying to tame the fat bellies on others. Plus I like the football look. Keep chowing boys!lol

Always liked the look of clowns but haven't owned any. I just got another tiger loach yesterday bringing my shoal up to 5 total. I thought the new one might have skinny disease but kinda hard to tell. Do your clowns fight at all? My tigers click all the time in their tank.

Mine use to really go at it sometimes but now I just have young ones and I have seen any disputes yet but I'm sure there will be lol as far as the skinny disease there's something that you can soak live black worms in then give them to the loaches and it is suppose to help but I can't remember the name of it but if you call your lfs they should know what it is
