couple questions about my pond

i just bult my first pond and it is built from a kiddie pool so it has a blue bottom which is now kinda dark greeish black i was thinking about putting gravel in there just for a looks thing and wouldn't it also be a good place for bb or am i wrong, also what s a good way to help keep my water a little clearer it's not bad but i would like it better , i can still see even my dark oscars and the bottom of 15 inches of water

any help would be greatly appreciated and oh yea i'll throw in a pic for you guy's total cost $8.05

i have a filter that i made from a bucket with filter and media in it and i also have a pump for circulation , i was looking at it more and it is not green just lightly brownish color but not bad, i am gonna buy a good pond filter and try that cause it might just be dirty

yea i'm afraid so i bought the kiddie pool which was $15.00 and was 50% off for a total of $8.05 with tax and the bricks and stuff i picked up here and there and the pump is from a old swimming pool we used to have and just never threw the pump away
