I am planning on getting a 90g or 110g tank! I would like to put 1 Oscar, 1 Convict, and 1 Blood Parrot with 3 Silver Dollars. Could I get away with that mix in the 90g, or should I get the 110. I will have black substrate, if it wont effect the Parrots color at all. I have nver kept a Blood Parrot, any ideas on what to expect from this mix? What is the biggest pellet size I can feed the Parrot, because having the Oscar means a Hikari Gold Large pellet eventually, could the Parrot eat that? And any other info that you would think could be helpfull for this fish would be appreciated. Thanks

i guess 90g would do for this many....
frozen foods would do for the parrots......

I would recommend getting the 110G. All those fish fish as adults is a h*ll of a lot of biomass for a 90. And I'm sure you want to plan for them as adults.

Feeding BP's can be an issue if they are competing with very greey fish. Their mouths can also vary a lot in how functional they are. Some of them can be very incompetent feeders. You may end up needing to feed two pellet sizes, one for the oscar, and one for the BP. As voyager says, lots of the frozen foods , espec bloodworm, should also be easily taken by the BP.

If that is the mix of fsh you want, I see no reason why you should not be able to get it to work, and find different foods that they can all eat. After all, you'll need to be feeding the dollars their own separate diet anyway.

I have 2 bp, 2 oscars, and 3 silver dollars in my 75. They have enough space (for now, will be upgraded) but it's heavy bioload. You can get a 90, but get a really good canister filter. I"m using Eheim Proffesionel II, it's doing the job quite nicely.
