Great pics and nice lookin fish!

Maybe a dumb question as ive never kept beani, but why a tank temp of 70f? I would have figured more like 80 or higher. To keep conspecific aggression down?

I have not been able to get a decent full tank shot.

I try to change a moderate amount water everyday. It is in a line of 3 tanks that are all on the same sumps. One for hardware, and one plants.

There is a trio of Gymnogeophagus in the next tank (a 55), and 10 carpintus, 15 Gymno fry and a few other young fish in the far 75 gal.
My goal is to add a bio fractionator to this line of tanks, similar to the one I just built for the pond

Nice looking Beani :)

Be careful with the beani as they can and will get quite aggressive. If you don't already know, they're also really prone on getting bloat. I once grew a couple out to 5-6" and then lost them due to bloat. Keep an eye on aggression and any signs of stress. Just trying to help.

Duanes is probably more experienced with these bloat prone CAs than most MFKers. Good advice though.
