Do retics grow denticales(sp?) on their tails?.. I recently noticed my female has a line of spikes starting down her tail.
how fast do they grow in captivity? I free feed my pair as best I can on live black worms, and do weekly water changes of 50% ideally 2x a week but sometimes just one. She's growing about 1"+ per month since i got her.
She has similar orbi type patterning seen in retics, but I odn't see the eyebrows... a long black tail... ect... but her growth rate more then anything is starting to worry me my "teacup" isn't a retic.
my male has been eating hardy as her and is a much slower grower. he also had a black base retic color, almost like a flower i'de say. Does one sub-species grow faster then the other? I know she isn't eating all the food because whenever i see no worms I add more ( and I odn't look all that hard for them) and see him fat and sassy. She also pounced on earthworms pretty easily, breaking another general rule of retics... she got him eating crawlers so i'm not really upset about it.. But its like things keep adding up.
