I picked up a couple small Severums in April and I believe they are getting large enough to sex. Based on the "Squiggly" face markings I have one male and 3 females. At what size will the markings show up? My largest male is around 3.25" and the others are 2.75" - 3". Can you accurately sex them at this size?

If I do end up with 1 male and 3 females will that cause any long term issues or should I remove one or two of them?

Try posting some pics & have some members take a look. If they can't be sexed yet, they should be close to large enough to get a good idea.

You might end up with some aggression depending on tank size & temperament of some individuals. Conspecific aggression can be high around the 3-5in mark. They establish pecking order at this size and it can get pretty brutal. You also might have to rehome some if you have a pair form. Just keep an eye on them and act accordingly.

The tank is a 125g which will ultimately end up being a 180g, at the moment the 125g is more than plenty. I know of one for sure that is male, the others still look female but we'll see. Here are a few pics, based on what I've seen the ones without markings should be female.

The one that I have determined to be a male:
